PE develops students' competence and confidence to take part in a range of physical activities that become a central part of their lives, both in and out of school. A high-quality PE curriculum enables all students to enjoy and succeed in many kinds of physical activity and learn how to be effective in competitive, creative and challenging situations.
Units studied and a brief description of their content
Students will perform a range of sports throughout Y9 - Y11 which include:
Football, basketball, badminton, swimming, table tennis, orienteering, fitness, athletics, tennis, cricket and softball, netball, trampolining, rounder's, ice skating, zumba, and spinning
Physical education is about life-long participation and students are not assessed practically. They are however graded on effort and behaviour in lessons.
