Manor Community Academy's Performing Arts Departments are some of the most successful departments in the academy. Students at KS3 have lessons in Music and Drama each week with Dance covered in PE lessons and as an extra-curricular activity.
Music and Drama are offered at GCSE as well as BTEC Performing Arts qualifications in Acting & Dance. We also have a history of offering BTEC Music Technology course when required.
The Performing Arts Department excels in extra-curricular activities. At least three productions are produced each year involving over 100 pupils, these have included full scale musical productions, plays, dance shows, talent shows and concerts.
The Academy has been awarded the Artsmark Gold Award.
We also offer Arts Award Bronze & Gold courses, which requires students to create a performing arts portfolio and gain qualifications for the work they undertake in their chosen extra-curricular activities.
More details to follow about the new courses available in the new academic year.
