Creative & Performing Arts

Manor Community Academy’s Performing Arts Department is one of the most successful departments in the college. Pupils at KS3 have lessons in Music and Drama each week with Dance covered in PE lessons and as an extra curricular activity.

Music and Drama are offered at GCSE which now allows pupils to achieve 4 GCSE’s in units covering drama, dance and music as well as the process of creating a production and the business side of the arts.

The Performing Arts Department excels in extra curricular activities. Three productions are produced each year involving over 100 pupils. Concerts are performed both in school and in the local community involving the Senior Chamber Choir, Junior Choir, Wind Ensemble, and various other groups and soloists.

The Academy has been awarded the Artsmark Gold Award.
